As part of the state’s Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, we provide the highest level of care for patients and families across the Big Bend who are affected by memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Whether you're facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug use concerns, or just need someone to talk to, our caring counselors are here for you. You are not alone. 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources.

Neighborhood Medical Center strives to provide and facilitate access to healthcare and enhance the health of individuals through education, prevention, and outreach. We serve our patients with respect and compassion.

A grassroots, nonprofit, education, self-help support and advocacy organization for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families. We provide free mental health information and related services in Leon County and throughout the Big Bend area of Florida.

Capital Area Healthy Start is dedicated to connecting new or expecting moms, fathers, and families with young children to community resources that help with pregnancy and parenting. Our goals are to educate parents and healthcare providers, eliminate barriers, and empower families through our programs, initiatives, and community partnerships.

From maternity to menopause, mental health to nutrition, our comprehensive suite of services has your physical, mental, and emotional health covered. Diana Health is a women’s health practice that offers obstetrics, gynecology, mental health and nutrition services. Accepts insurance, Medicaid and a sliding scale for those without insurance.

SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.

The Continuum of Care (CoC) coordinates the regional response to homelessness by uniting agencies, securing funding, and developing comprehensive strategies to address housing needs. Through collaboration and resource optimization, we lead the charge in crafting innovative solutions, fostering partnerships, and ensuring every effort is focused on ending homelessness and rebuilding lives within our community.

Our Mission is to provide a comprehensive, seamless system of services and resources to reduce the detrimental effects of poverty, empower low-income citizens with skills and motivation to become self-sufficient, and improve the overall quality of their lives.

The Northwest Florida Regional Housing Authority helps individuals and families access affordable housing opportunities throughout Northwest Florida. The agency administers public housing and Section 8 housing programs while working to promote economic opportunity and safe, suitable living environments free from discrimination.

Leon County Housing Services works to preserve and expand access to safe, sanitary, and affordable housing throughout Leon County. The division connects eligible residents with housing support programs, including home repair and rehabilitation, homebuyer assistance, affordable housing resources, and other services designed to promote long-term housing stability and homeownership opportunities.

We are an affiliate of the national Family Promise, the leading national nonprofit addressing family homelessness, providing homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, workforce development, education, financial capability, health and wellness, and so much more.

Provides safe, affordable housing opportunities and rental assistance for eligible low-income families, older adults, and individuals with disabilities. Housing services may include public housing and voucher-based assistance designed to promote greater stability and access to safe, suitable homes.

Capital City Youth Services (CCYS) promotes the healthy development of youth and families by providing crisis intervention, counseling, education, advocacy, and supportive services. Through community partnerships and family-centered programs, CCYS helps connect youth and families with the guidance, safety, and resources they need to overcome challenges and build healthier futures.

FloridaCommerce provides workforce and employment resources designed to help Floridians pursue career opportunities and navigate periods of unemployment. Through workforce programs, job assistance resources, labor market information, and Reemployment Assistance services, individuals can access tools and support to help them prepare for employment, explore opportunities, and move toward greater economic stability.

The ELC works collaboratively with families, their children, and local child care providers to help prepare children for success in school and support families’ ability to work. Through effective caregiver education and professional development for child care professionals, the ELC connects the home and school by sharing critical information and resources on child development and how to best support each child’s individual growth.

Food Assistance

Food Assistance

Access to nutritious food is essential to the health, stability, and well-being of every family. TAPC is committed to helping parents and caregivers connect with trusted food assistance programs, community pantries, meal services, and local resources that can help ease the burden of food insecurity. By connecting families with essential support, we help create healthier homes, reduce barriers, and ensure parents can focus on helping their children and families grow, thrive, and move forward with dignity.

Second Harvest of the Big Bend is based in Tallahassee, Florida. We provide healthy food for neighbors facing hunger and food insecurity throughout our 16-county Big Bend service area. As the region's primary source for charitable food, our facility acts as a storage and distribution depot for over 120 smaller frontline agency partners, including emergency food pantries,  homeless shelters, schools, churches and community centers.

Capital Area Community Action Agency helps individuals and families experiencing financial hardship access essential support while working toward greater stability and self-sufficiency. Services include utility and crisis assistance, home energy efficiency support, early childhood and Head Start programs, transportation assistance, family services, and other resources designed to reduce the effects of poverty and strengthen families throughout the Capital Area.
